Missional

Missional churches are deeply connected to the community. The church is not focused on its facility, but is focused on living, demonstrating, and offering biblical community to a lost world. A Missional Church is a group of people whose passion and purpose is found in being the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need his mercy, grace, compassion and love.

Everyone has a role in the missional church. A missional Christian's life purpose is found in loving and serving others and in helping them to find peace and hope in Jesus. Their work, their recreation and everything else is part of the mission, not just what happens on Sunday morning. Their ministry flows from their God-given spiritual gifts, their skills and talents and their passion for serving. In short, they aren't waiting for someone to lead them around by their hand; they're already attentive to people's needs, and they serve by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Missional churches are not just missions-minded. Their hearts, minds, souls and spirits are permeated with a passion for the mission of God.

Distinct Practices of Missional Churches:

    * A high threshold for commitment to the Bridge Church community
    * They want to be real, but not real religious
    * Teach to apply, rather than to just know
    * Help those that are committed to live as those sent to others
    * Order activities based upon their purpose
    * Place God's Kingdom concerns first
