What kind of
church are you?
We are the kind of church who sees the Bible as our sole authority in matters of life and purpose. It is God’s word that sets our agenda. We are currently supported financially by a Baptist church and a Baptist association of churches. We are also cooperating with several other churches to support over 10,000 Baptist missionaries scattered across our globe. So, in matters of support and doctrine, we are a Baptist kind of church.
What is your
worship gathering like?
We gather each Sunday morning to give testimony of who God is and what He is doing in us and around us. We celebrate God’s attributes through praise using a variety of music styles. Currently we use guitars, a keyboard and a small vocal team. We value God’s Word each Sunday through a time of teaching and preaching, allowing God to make application to our lives through His Word. We dress casually, but seek to be reverent in our approach to God. So dress as you like, but take seriously what He says about Himself and you.
How will you teach
my child?
We
won’t…primarily. God has given the parents the primary responsibility
for the
teaching and training of their children in matters of God. Parents are
primarily accountable before God. Secondarily, complimentarily, we will
provide
times of teaching and training for the children that God gives us each
week. Each
Sunday morning, we have BridgeKids, which happens in the middle of our
Sunday
morning worship, right before the message is given. We highly value our
time
of hearing God’s Word each Sunday morning and want everyone to hear it
on their own level and without
distraction. We
understand that the majority of the children in our
community do not have a parent that can teach them about God
so we want to fill the void.
What would you
tell someone who is thinking about attending your church?
Give us a month, attending with us each week. One Sunday will not allow you to see the heart of our church, or any church for that matter. At the end of the month, you will be able to clearly see if The Bridge Church is where you will invest your life, or not.
